One phenomenon I cannot seem to cut through is the one of guys just hanging around women out at bars. These guys are previously known to the women and not actively attempting to Pick them up or date them. They just seem to be there, and serve as a huge block to PUA endeavors. Often they are just part of a larger entourage going out that night. This phenomenon seems more pronounced in the midwest compared to other parts of the country. Any suggestions? Anyone encounter this phenomenon?

The phenomenon is you being afraid to open mixed sets. That is all.
