I'm trying to get this gymnast who goes to my school. I have only talked to her a few times in person, and I'm pretty timid/shy in person, but she always favorites and frequently retweets my tweets to her. She just recently got injured, and I sent her a message wishing her a speedy recovery. She responded, saying thanks, and told me that she just got X-rays done, but there wasn't anything conclusive yet.

This is pretty much all that has happened between us. Whenever I see her, I give her a high five, and she gives me a big smile and everything.

How do I take it from this, to something more serious? I don't have much that's super special about me. I'm a musician. She's an athlete. Normally athletes tend to hang out with athletes, and don't really break out of that so much? I also don't want to come off as some creepy ass fan.

High-fiving is fine. It's kino. I guess it's kind of weird if you do it every single time you see her, though.

You're not doing anything that signifies you have any interest in her at all. Do you have her number? I'm sure she'd appreciate a phone call to see how she's doing rather than through some kind of message. Let her know that you'll be taking her out somewhere specific once she's feeling better. Then, when the time comes, follow up on it and actually take her there.
