Girl I used to date had a birthday. Figured I'd say happy birthday as I had sorta not talked to her in 3 months, even though she came back at me, but now I sorta miss her.

She tells me, "life has been a roller coaster lately, but everything is pretty good"

Is that an opening? Or am I reading too much?
