This chick and her ex broke up because he cheated on her and treated her really bad and made her feel like s**t (her words) Her friends told me she liked me for ages and she started chasing me. we hooked up a few times when we were drunk, and she would always tell me how into me she was. I let her do most of the chasing and was careful not to blow up her phone or seem needy. she asked me on two dates and flaked and the last one I called her out on saying im not being messed around. She said she has to much college work and she doesn't want a guy right now but she wants to be friends(ballsh*t). I think her ex might be back in the picture even though he has a gf. I just want to know where I fu**ed up? surely I did something wrong or she wouldn't 2nd me for her ex? or is it a case of she has alot of her past invested into him? Ive had no contact with her and nor do I intend to unless she reaches out, as im not falling into the friend zone and being her back up plan.

okay, well this is probably one of the most common thing most people will do after a breakup. She still likes her boyfriend for the exact reasons she told you they broke up for. You are just a rebound, as much as you dont want to believe that, thats what you are to her. I wouldnt even talk to her anymore if your mindset is that she doesnt want to talk to you. That way you are the bigger person and she will see she is just an option to you not a priority. You are the shit purely because nothing she does or anyone for that matter will effect you. get that in your head before the role switches on you and your the one chasing her.
