Ok so I hit the town last night with my buddy, staying sober for once in the aim to approach women. I am not usually sober at all while out. It was a strange experience looking at drunk people and thinking "shit that must be me". But I flunked hard core. Every venue I seemed to go the music was way too loud I was having trouble speaking to my mate who was right next to me. I just felt it would be too hard to entertain a group in this instance as they wouldn't be able to hear me.

However being sober I did notice a lot of things. For example the women giving looking at me then looking away then back again. I was also looking at energy levels but finding it hard to raise my own to get level with groups of girls that seemed to be out to dance.

I need some advice on either being able to respond to single girl IoI's or a way of entering the group in such a high energy environment. Is my choice of venue a bit hard for a beginner? It just felt wrong to barge in and ask a high energy group their opinion on something.

tried it and it happened the same to me. i always feel like a stranger when i go in a club,feel like the place is full of high positive energy alpha males,and i shouldn't be there. blah

Go out, have a drink or two(Just to have something in your hand), shoot the shit with your friends and scan for IOIs. By not being drunk you immediately set yourself apart from the rabble and you can notice these things.

If you're having problems approaching women then get in proximity to them. Go to a table, stand there and ask if it's okay if you "rest" your drink there then talk, laugh and have fun with your mate about anything. Fuck it could be about Pick Up. Who cares if they overhear? It'll get their interest peeked and give you a chance to talk to them thus gain social value and be able to use them as a base. Women see you talking to them then their interest is peeked plus after you break down that first wall it'll be incredibly easy to talk to other women.

If you've relied heavily on alcohol to get in state up to this point the transition to going out on the pull sober is gonna be difficult. Stick at it though; it's much cheaper, you're more tuned in, no hangovers, healthier, etc.

My main piece of advice at this stage would be to only focus on having fun with your friends while out. Don't make attracting girls a priority - that will come with time when you feel more comfortable in that environment.

Warm Up and approach groups and socialize. They're fucking drunk so they're gonna be all happy and open to talk to you. If people intimidate you it's a self confidence issue not the venue. You need to sell yourself on knowing that you can socialize with people no matter where you are.

Don't get discouraged... you can do this man.
