It's been difficult for me to get the hang of negging, partially because my dry sense of humor makes it hard for women to tell I'm bein sarcastic. But one neg that seemed particularly good in theory was an age neg.

I'm a 24 year old guy and while I wouldn't say I target 18-20 year olds, I would like to think I have an advantage when it comes to them. I always start out with a "oh wow you're really that young? I pegged you for older!" and then act like I'm having serious reservations about talking to the girl due to the age.

I can go on with lines like, "in my experience, under 21 girls just seem to be immature and not know what they want" or "i wouldn't even be able to take you out for a drink... how lame is that?"

My thought process is that the girl will then justify herself with the old "But I'm so mature for my age!" line and begin throwing herself at me. "It's not that big of a gap!" "I've dated older!" That sort of thing.

My success rate however is very low. I have gotten a few lays but a lot of women just get really defensive and say "well don't talk to me then" or even worse "lmao we aren't even talking".

Am I doing the negging thing wrong?

Try changing up your delivery and make it sound more playful.... it seems like some girls see you as being serious. Maybe you need to smile more... or maybe say something like "oh you're young I don't think you'd be able to handle me...."

I think you got something though just tweak a little bit and find out what works.

as long as you don't call a woman an old whore I'm sure the age negging will be fine... women have no problem with being young.

That makes sense. I guess my aim is to make them think I legitimately am turned off by their young age so they will start justifying their worth to me. 100% of 18-20 year olds are going to say how mature they are for their age.

You're kinda being way to serious about it. I'll say something like "I'll eat you for breakfast little girl." and when she gets a little fiesty or pissed off, "Yeah, you've never had a real man put you in your place, have you? Well you're not going to act like a bitch when I'm around."

Treat women like women.

I think the tone in these comments is quite negative. You need to deliver a more positive feeling. For instance "Wow, you are very mature for being so young! You are not lying about your age, are you?". Always be kind and playful. Negging is actually about being challenging in a positive and funny way, not negative.

You shouldn't really neg about something the girl can't do anything about or which might cause a negative emotional reaction.

Think of negs like playful dragonflies fluttering around her not a pit bull going for her throat.
