So I've done this newbie mission and have been on a constant quest to develop inner game and reduce approach anxiety for about a week and a half but there is this thing that sort of bugs me. Whenever I walk past a girl, about 9 times out of 10 they will not make eye contact with me. I want to smile and say hi but it feels unnatural when they are looking away. Today, at the gym, about an hb7/8 was walking past me and I looked at her for like a full on 2 seconds before she was past me and she held her gaze away from me... weird.
What do you guys think this is? I've been told that I look intimidating and mean but I've really made an effort to smile more and appear more approachable and I feel as though I've succeeded in that respect. I suppose I'm wondering if it is something I'm doing because even if I am not interested in a girl I will still make eye contact with her no prob I just won't take it from there. lol, should I like force a girl to acknowledge me by saying hi to her no matter where she is looking?
This is my experience as well. I've talked with some of my guy friends about this, they say they get a lot of eye contact. I just don't and don't really care about it. It might have to do that I'm not that good looking, but once again, I just don't bother and don't care about it. Eye contact is not a prerequisite for you to open a girl. As long as you open her with a smile and you have strong presence about yourself, you are good to go.
