Take it from me bro, I suck at gaming at the moment and you know why? Because I haven't practiced in a year!
I know a lot of the underlying principles, got a bit of stuff canned and all that basic "tool-kit" yet my skills are at max from beginner to average.
Set small goals, like at first just doing it at all is fine you don't have to do much more than say "Hi" and get rejected.
Just get out there and get burned, you wont feel it as much if you get it often enough and after a while you'll see results and get addicted. From that moment on you carry yourself.
-> Stop whining, man up and don't tell me at the door of the airplane, "I didn't sign up for parachuting", just jump :3
