| I love this "how long should I take to answer" stuff, seriously because it's bullshit counting hours.
You can however develop a natural instinct for that. Face it, do that on a regular basis and everyone will know it's on purpose which then is a sign of neediness and weakness, because you are making an effort to fake it.
You find it pretty obvious yourself to spot that kind of behavior when a girl is doing that don't you?

Have a few guidelines, basic Idea here is that you are the game master!
(Yeah it's a push and pull game women love to play, so play with em :3)
She texts you, you want to start a conversation, so you text her back within 5 minutes. She then takes 2 hours to respond, you start communicating. Wrong! Why do you feel the need to talk to her know she obviously ignored you to show off! So instead of striking up a conversation, now YOU are busy.
You text her, she takes a full day to answer and apologizes:
(Yeah I'm cute,so I pretend to be a good girl and apologize daddy ^.^ all the boys are needy enough to fall for that) Show her that you don't give a shit and punish. Ok, it's really not a "big" deal, maybe she's just shy but definitely make it get "colder", if you do this right she'll be all apologetic and actually means it, maybe even opens up a bit more. Do it wrong and you'll extinguish the fire, you got to practice doing it right by gut feeling.
Same case and she doesn't apologize:
(I'm pretty and have sex organs you don't have, so I'm above you)
Punish, it's bad behavior, don't be like hey it's no problem I'll wait for you.
However what you can do here is show off by faking. Hey yeah I've totally forgotten that I texted you as I did [insert cool DHV stuff here]. And don't pick up the topic you texted her about if possible, you're a busy man with a fucking cool life, what is interesting to you at some point might bore you the next occasion. (<- get it?)
The date question is different however:
As it doesn't matter how long she takes to answer as long as she says yes. (It's basically the boss at the end of the level, she's got to beat then it's off to the next stage or a game over :3)
As for the last question, when to text her again after she doesn't respond for a while. Whenever you want to, if you aren't needy on the inside it wont show on the outside.
You get the basics, it's a push and pull game so practice that. And stop counting hours, go by gut feeling, one girl might need a bit more of reassurance that you are still interested, some just need daddy to give em a good spank. The secret art here is to fake not playing while actually controlling the game from behind the curtain.
This is just my two cents, my experience, what works for me! And honestly I don't play text games often, they bore the shit out of me.
