Approach anxiety is far from what it used to be but I have a sticking point that has been nagging me for awhile. After the opener, I can't seem to transition into a normal conversation. Any ideas, tips, etc. are appreciated. _________________ Expect everything, and anything seems like nothing. Expect nothing, and anything seems like everything.

I use something like "Wow you guys look like you're having fun" if they're high energy followed by something like "So how do we know each other" or a "So what brings us out tonight" and then pray i can grab onto a thread from there.
I'm far from experienced though.

The ring routine works well because it is like you have just noticed something.
Their shoes, their hair, whatever.
Or if they are giving advice ill usually go into "If this was sex and the city who would be who"
They will usually identify the slut as being Samantha.
A big help in same night lays!

So once hookes, make an observation on anything (the way they dress, rinf as mentioned ^, their accents, anything) and transition by using the one of the below
Transitions
- It’s just like when…
- That reminds me of…
- This one time…
This help you go from your opener directly into a story, routine, or whatever. I suggest coming up with a stack. Make things easier.

roleplay!
You know, I could use a gf for the night, do you like this or that or bla bla" 3 questions. whatever the answer is: awesome, you'd be a great gf.
It creates a bubble and you have more things to talk about instead of the boring what school you go to bla bla bla, what work etc.
mind you, YOU ARE LEADING THE CONVERSATION. doing 80% of the talking.
