My situation at the moment is: I work at an IT company where there are few girls and i don't meet interesting people there; I have few friends and they are not very social (akward computer programming guys) and my last date & kiss was about 7 or 8 years ago, so things are not going well at all

Right now I'm trying to change and to meet girls while I am not working, however there is one thing that is causing some damage on my image and a bad impression on new girls that I met: my facebook page.

My facebook shows everything that I am right now: I have few friends there (80% friends are guys), no photos with girls and basically no comments. Everytime a new girl that I meet checks my facebook, she would find my facebook page very sad and akward because it is almost empty and thats very strange nowadays. I try to defend myself saying that I really don't care about facebook blablabla, but it is obvious that not being active and not having social photos and friends at facebook is causing a bad impression and scare girls a lot.

The truth is that I really don't care about facebook because I don't have good things to show there, so I prefer to hide. Adding girls that I don't know to my facebook page is out of question because that's very desperate and doesn't match with my personality. If i was passing through great times and have lots of friends, girlfriends and so on, I would be very active at facebook, however I am very lonely right now, I don't have anything good and interesting to show, so I say everyone that I don't use it because I don't care..

My question is: Should I delete my facebook page or keep a bad facebook page? What would be less akward?

95% of young people nowadays are on social networks, so not having a facebook page at all would be also very akward..

Can you give me some hints please? What should I do?

Can you hide your FB account? But more importantly, do you want to be with somebody so vapid as to judge you by your FB page? You have other options, of course, such as adding other women indiscrimnantly (women love adding guys to their pages), making your life sound more exciting etc.

Honestly, I can't offing stand FB. I have a few accounts (for research purposes) but I never really use it to keep in contact with people. If I want to contact someone I call them, and/or hangout with them.

I experienced this same problem.

As superficial as it might seem, I do find people sometimes use your facebook as a bit of a 'social resume', so I decided to deactivate mine until I've built up a decent catalog of photo's that portray my lifestyle as I'd like it to be seen.

So far, this has worked great for me.

The only thing is, I've found girls often use the facebook add as a less anxiety provoking alternative to giving you their number, and since eliminating that option, I've had to spend a little more time comfort building and creating stronger cases as to why her and I should meet again.

But this hasn't been a much of a problem at all, as it's only encouraged me to get better at my game.

I have a few pictures of me with girls on my facebook.. My fb used to suck when it came to pictures that show DHV.
But what I did hehe.. Was going out, walk up to a 2 set or more and tell them: ''Heey girls I really have to tell you something reall quickly, I just saw both of you from over their and I just had to come over and tell you that if I wasn't gay I would so try to hit on you girls!''. ''Heey lets make a picture together!''

I first said that gay part they replied with ''Omg haha really?! Well you just made our day!''. I left and when I saw them again I told them to go on a picture with me. And boom .

So go hide your FB and slowly build up your FB with good pictures. When you are doing an activity, maybe you play sports? Hire an photographer just a cheap hobby one and let him make some pictures of you while in action!

Because yea.. When you meet a girl and she looks up your fb, and trust me their are more people who look it up then you think.. Your FB can show DHV or a big big DLV..

my rule is: fuck before facebook, then it doesn't matter. Sometimes you can't avoid it so you just add them, it doesn't matter that much.
