When i was 16 years old i had a friend who had a little sister, she kind of had a crush on me back then but she was 12 so i only thought of it as "cute".

However, i am 21 now and she is 16 (17 in 1 month) and i found her by accident on Facebook and added her. She then sends me multiple messages on Facebook which ended with her saying "Give me your number talking on here is annoying".

A thing to remember is that i am from The Netherlands and the whole age thing here compared to USA is different and less frowned upon id say... The legal age here is 16 Still im not really sure if this is okay for me to do

Me: Guess
Her: 19?
Me: 21
Her: omg really
Her: ok nice x


Her: How old do you think i am?
Her: Oh wait you can't see my picture right
Her: Dont you think its weird talking to me?
Me: No i can't see you, send me a picture
Me: Weird?
Her: Look at my facebook picture
Her: Yes because i am the sister of your friend
Me: 17/18 years? (I knew she was 16 btw)
Her: Thanks, almost 17. Im still young age wise
Me: Age wise yes, but you seem like you act very mature, or am i wrong?
Her: Thats correct, people say i act more mature than my age


Her: Weren't you dating *Ex Gf* back then?
Me: Yes but it was a mistake, i was young and didn't like her but still dated her (Maybe shouldn't have said this)
Her: Dick move! If i knew a boy did that to me i would have hit him h!
Me: You seem dangerous, i better watch out
Her: Haha if you do nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about honey (honey? wtf.)

Her: My shoulder hurts reallyyy bad
(At this point i wasn't sure how to respond because i just came out of a 2yr relationship so my textgame and stuff is really bad, so i asked a friend to help me out here, he helped me with some responses)

Me: What did you do?
Her: I fell at the sidewalk , it still hurts
Me: I don't know much about shoulder injuries but most of the time a massage would help.
Her: Are you going to massage me then?
Me: Only if it stays at your shoulders, i don't want angry parents on my back
Her: Haha yes you don't want my dad angry, but if i want you to massage me then he has nothing to say about it right
Me: You think so?
Her: Yes ofcourse, its not like he's gonna check me or anything
Her: He only asks what happened afterwards, but he's not going to forbid me if i do something that i want myself

Her: Im not going to tell you that
Me: Well in that case i can massage your whole back
Her: Only if i want to !
Me: You're right, maybe its better if we stick to shoulders.

Me: You're right, and still i would have had to take massage classes and those take a looong time.

So guys what do you think? Is this age thing really bad? I kinda feel weird about it, like im not 100% comfortable with it, but still... I guess i just need some advice on how to proceed or not to proceed lol.

When the next girl asks "Wasn't that you on How to Catch a Predator?".... Theres no recovering from that one.

As stated in my post, the legal age in my country is 16 years old, not 18.

Alright, I'll put it to you this way....

1. You better be ready for some HUGE emotional commitment to those girls. It's not an easy thing being the first guy to break a girls heart.

2. IF she were to get pregnant (shit happens man... It could happen to you) do you feel like she is mature enough to handle and take care of YOUR child?

Anyway, my 2 cents:

You're 21...she's 16.
Regardless of legal issues in your country, you 2 should be on 2 VERY different levels in maturity and intellectually. 17 yr old and 21yr old is a much bigger difference than 21 yr old and 25 yr old. So if you're looking to seriously date her then that's a problem. If you're looking to fool around, I'd recommend not to. Either way, you're on a different level than her and would be taking advantage. If you keep going you could probably get whatever you want from her but it's up to you ethically what you do with a young girl.

I'm just gonna throw my 2cents in. I agree with both the above posters. I'll tell you a story that happened to a guy I know take from it what you want. He was 20 she was 17 which is not a huge age gap, but thet were on 2 different maturity levels. Anyway he got sick of her bullsh*t, and dumped her a couple days later the cops come arrest him at work she said he raped her. He didn't he was proven innocent she admitted that he didn't rape her and that she lied, but he went through hell until she fianlly did admit it. That was 5 years ago, and he's still stuck with the rapist stigma.

Now I know that's one of the extreme's, but like Magikal said shit happens.
