I just had a med student I went on a date with (who I texted last night, and she responded "Oh, I've been thinking about you lately!") tell me that she failed her exams.

How do I respond to something like that? Complete subject change? It's sortof a downer (and also kindof a turnoff).

How do you deal when a girl brings up a negative conversation topic without being like "Awww, you'll do better next time!"

Honestly... who cares? How does how she did on some exam impact you at all? Are you trying to make a life partner out of the girl or fuck her a few times? Think about that...
