My name is Rusho and I am 24 years old. I currently live in Toronto, ON. Over the last 6 months I learned a lot about pick up. I read "Game" by Neil Strauss, followed Paul Janka's guide, watched the videos by Alex Coulson, and joined this forum and read tons of posts. Overall I would say I have learned a lot of material but haven't used it enough yet. I do not have a problem talking to women about general things or when I have made a legit observation about them. However, I have noticed approaching women without knowing what to talk about makes me think twice.
I have tried approaching women several times at malls as well as clubs. When I first read Paul Janka's material I went to the nearby mall and approached about 15 women with both direct and indirect openers. I had conversations with them for about 4-5 minutes and then left. I asked only 3 out of the 15 for their #'s and 2 of them gave it. However, when I texted them the conversation didn't last long. None of the women turned away or did anything that was a clear no except for the one direct approach i did. The direct approach didn't work but I was new and maybe my nervousness showed in my voice or face. Also, everytime I go clubbing I talk to at least a few women, but I have noticed that in clubs they almost always have their shields up. So, they would talk to me in the club but as soon as I ask for their number or ask them if they wanted to check out another club or bar, they would start playing games. Anyways, I guess i still have a little approach anxiety as I can't open a group of women but I am fine approaching singles or two women. I am really hoping to find someone to sarge with that would either be like me and we can start our journey to becoming PUA's together or be better than me and I can learn from you that way.
I workout on a regular basis and have a fairly athletic built (13% body fat, 160 lbs, 5'9"). I believe i am average looking but have received compliments from women several times. I am just saying this because I believe looks do matter a little in this game and the ratio of yes:no increases with better looks. However, it is something that one can work on and fix with some dedication so not a big deal. The only thing that matters is how motivated you are and if you really want to do this. If that's the case and u want someone to sarge with in GTA then let me know.
