Lately I have lost control of my erections while trying to game girls and it has really set me back. When I get erections in public I become really insecure and think people will look at me and laugh and the girl will think I am a creep or pervert. Should I just let them happen and try ignore even if they are really noticeable.

Don't let them happen. You're obviously a kid. The whole "it will turn women on, you shouldn't be ashamed" stuff is applied to if you're making out with a chick and already have her hooked in.
