The usual pattern of PUA is vaguely open-comfort-escalate-close.

Something I discovered by accident that has worked like a charm is, open-escalate-comfort-escalate-close.

I'll open with something fairly boring, but then immediately start escalating, often she'll respond well and but soon she'll back it off and try and suss you out to make sure you're "normal" so she'll try and lead the convo into comfort areas, once she's figured out you're normal, ramp up the escalation again and boom, you're in.

So now I can pre-empt her going into comfort by going into comfort first just when I know she'll be about to go there anyway, building even further on the attraction. Once comfort is done, escalate again, and bingo. This whole process usually only takes 5 minutes and you've already escalated on her TWICE.

Has worked like a friggen charm, and it makes pick-up even more fun.
