if not, then i would play the social circle type of game, build up my reputation, add value to everyone, invest a bit of time into everybody then reep the benefits months down the line.

Small towns are all about reputation, if you got a bad one you're fucked, if you got a good one you get tonnes of lays. The first couple of months are extremely important, you gotta get off to a good start.

Until a few years ago I used to do social status first, then get lays. Now I do the opposite and it drives the whole process into fast-forward. Go out there a plow some babe, and immediately you get huge status within her group, so within 24hrs you go from being a nobody to having 3 of her friends ready to bend over for ya, social status like that just doesn't come that quickly, if ever, by being friendly.

This is how I make friends now, through F-closes. F-close a girl, get massive status in her group, F-close her friends, then her friends friends, seriously it is THE way to get bulk F-closes in no time.

Get social status from F-closes, not the other way round, once you've pulled it off once you'll never look back.
