By going out and being social lol

Stop taking shit from people when you go out. Try different little "come backs" and it will eventually come natural.

Read any literature.
Watch well-written shows.
Listen to slam poetry.

It comes from intelligence, being socially comfortable, understanding humor, and understanding social situations.

This is the the desirable social skills we all want to be able to banter back and forth witty one-liners.

Not all of us are creative gifted fast thinking covnersationalist.

So the best thing is...sarcasm is your best friend as the simplest form of wit.

For example:

Her: you're a jerk
You: ah totally

This is the same as improvisation "yes, and..." agree and elaborate on it. In fact, getting into improvisation is the best thing to help with your creative wit.
