So I met this girl at party last fall. Not much else happened other than some light conversation but at the end of the night we exchanged facebook information.

At the time I was just getting over a bad breakup with my ex-girlfriend so I really wasn't interested in dating other girls (I was in a rough place). Anyway, since then we would exchange a few messages on facebook here and there and she would constantly 'like' and comment on my photos, almost to the point where I could post a photo of grass and she would 'like' it.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago. I almost forgot about this girl until she commented on one of my photos. I ended up PM'ing her and asking for her number. She gladly gave it to me and we started to text back and forth almost every few days. I was a little worried that I was going to turn into one of her 'text buddies' with all the texting I was doing, but at the same time I figured since I only met her once a few months ago, it would be beneficial to work a bit of comfort so she'd be up for meeting up with me.

Well last week, she ends up meeting me up to get ice cream. It was a weekday afternoon and we both had plans in the evening so it was a little tough to escalate. However, everything went well. We laughed, I did some light kino and there were no lulls in the conversation. I texted her the next day using some callback humour from our date and she said she had a great time.

Now that our first date is out of the way. What's the best way to transition into another date?

I'm not completely sure if she's into me since we only spent about 2-3 hours with each other alone so it's a little hard to gauge her interest. Plus she's a lot younger than me and seemed a bit shy (I also noticed she was blushing at the beginning of our date). But I guess the fact that she went out with me in the first place must be a sign.

Anyway, should I send a few banter texts and then go for the date? Or just go for the date right off the bat? Also, how long should I wait before setting up a second date. It's been 6 days since our first date. Should I wait another week? Or try to get her out again while the momentum is in my favor?
