| How do you get put in the friendzone? Is it from building up a close relationship with a girl, that isn't romantic? Or can you be put in the friendzone even if you don't see that person often. Can someone explain it to me?
I'll use me as an example. I'm very good friends with 3 girls, who I befriended at a low point in my life when I was diagnosed with diabetes. I only see them as friends, and wouldn't want it to be anything more, despite them being very attractive, and 2 of them have come onto me before. So I'm not bothered about being friendzoned by them.
However, they live with a girl, who I find quite attractive. I've known her about a year, but I've never really got close to her, mainly because of how it might effect my relationship with my 3 friends, so I haven't made a move. Now we have graduated university, I feel I can act. However, I'm worried I may have friendzoned myself. As I said, I never hang out with her alone, and only speak to her on social occasions but does the fact that I have known her for so long, but haven't escalated mean I could be in the friendzone?
She has shown signs of interest before, but its mostly been at parties when she has drunk alcohol. While I wouldn't say she is the flirty type with other people when she is drunk, obviously the drink makes her less inhibited. She is quite shy and reserved. I have often suspected that the constraints of our social circle held her back but thats more likely an effect of my large ego haha
I know some people will claim one-itis, and although I'm not sure of the definition, maybe it is. I'm tired of the whole bar/club scene and gaming girls because you don't meet the right type, and I have a full time job so the options for day-game are quite limited.
