A party where you don't know anyone

So I was at this party the other night that one of my buddies invited me to. The problem was that he and about 2 other people were the only others I knew at the party. How do you handle being at a party where there are a bunch of long established social circles and you're the odd man out?

Just talk to everyone dude. The same way you would in a bar/club.
