How quickly is the consensus on kiss closing.

A friend of mine indicated that he felt that 3-7 minutes within a set one should kiss close the target. Obviously there may be some extenuating circumstances but his thoughts are if you get 3 solid IOIs you should go in for the initial comfort kiss. This may be in isolation or not according to him.

My questions is how quickly do others feel should be the approxiate time for Kiss closing--?
