I had somewhere to go and I quickly asked for the girls number, lots of IOIs, I knew I wouldnt fail going up and I just had to go get it. Unsure how to follow up from this as she just smiled and blushed, gave me her number and I left. Not sure what to say through text and how to get a day 2 as I didnt build connection and simply just got her number.

"Hey, I had a really great time talking to you the other day. Without getting to serious too fast, it made me realize how very rare to meet someone who is funny, passionate about life, and overall genuinely attractive. But enough about me, you seem like you might be a pretty cool person yourself."

Atleast you are aware that you didn't build a connection with this girl.. She is honestly more likely to flake (or it's a fake number) but you never know what type of guys she is talking to. If you are the only interesting guy that she has talked to in the last 2 months, she might hit you back. Go for it and see what happens.

For future reference, what I always do is send a text late at night after I number close. Generally a couple hours after- saying, "Hey it's (Your First Name), save this number."

The girl will usually respond with an OMG!, then the next day you are free to text her and set up a date.

Move faster, you want to close within a week and a half ideally. Attraction has an expiration date.
