recently, I have tried to "project" my voice when I talk. When I do this, my voice sometimes "breaks" or "cracks" I am not sure if these are the right terms. Do you know what I'm talking about? basically, my voice disappears and makes me feel like a little girl, it's so embarrassing.
how can I fix this? is there something that I could drink or wash my throat with, or ?

Ok, just making sure you aren't like 17 or something lol then there would be a reason your voice does that...

Learn how to speak from your chest vs from your throat. It makes you louder and also makes your voice deeper. The deeper you can make your voice, the wetter women get. I can't tell you how many girls tell me they love my deep voice and how many guys envy it.... and I used to talk the same way you did. Speak from your chest and don't be afraid to be loud. break the social norm and stop being so quiet and shy!

omg, I feel like you can see right through me. yes, I am afraid to be loud. I try to be quiet....like when I go to the post office and the person at the counter asks me something, I respond quietly because it feels weird if everybody at the post office can hear me. so should I speak in a way that the people in line can hear me?
alright, time to google "how to speak from your chest"

Yes. Make it socially awkward for people to NOT listen to you.

practice by squeezing your nose shut and speaking. If you speak correctly you will not sound any different when you do this, you should have all the power of your voice coming from your chest, when you speak, you chest should be vibrating, you can feel this when you put your hand on your chest.

If when you squeeze your nose and you sound funny and nasally, then you need to keep practicing doing this until you sound normal when you do it.

Dude,

There is a book on Amazon called : Develop a Deeper Voice , by Maxime Bellemare and Pierre Kirouac

I had a girly voice before doing the exercices from this book, but now my voice is low and deep. It definitly helps with pick-up. When I speak, people listen to me.. I always had trouble getting attention in sets, but now it's really easy. There are some exercices on voice projection too. This is really good for club game, where you have to speak loud....Seriously this is the best investment i've made in my life. The exercices only take 5 minutes per day too, and the results are permanent. It helped my game big time.

Don't jerk it and your voice will drop, you'll feel more manlier

If you're cracking your voice, you're talking through your throat. TAke a deep breath before speaking (like singing) then use that air to talk.
Having a deep voice isn't as important as projecting it. Look at TylerDurden and Style. They both have pretty high pitched voices. Don't be afraid of being loud. Talking loud and screaming are two different things. As a bartender, I'm always projecting my voice "What can I help you with?" but I'm not screaming it to a guest. On a side note, I hate it when I ask a guest to repeat an order and they repeat it so freaking quietly, as if saying it the same way will make me hear it better!
