This is my question I met a waitress last week found out we have a mutual friend we talked a bit here's what I took to be ioi's but I'd like to get some feedback and see what other ppl think she leaves her tables to come over and talk to me, no sexual tip hunting behavior, when I left for about 10 min to go to the SPAM and came back she had a huge smile on her face and was like heyyy your back, constant looking over and smiling, then she asked me my name again said she wanted to get it right, laughed thought it was funny when I got her name wrong, told me to make sure and come back again. I can tell when a waitress is tip hunting this seemed genuine to me plus I wasn't paying her and the next time I went back she remembered me and was like hey John and. We talked a bit but the bar was a lot busier then I thought it wouldve been so I finished my drink had a light convo with her and left I figure I'll give it a few days and go on a not so busy day and see her again only thing is I am new in town and don't know a lot of ppl so I am gonna be going solo I don't want that to appear needy but whatever it is what it is. Any thoughts advice would be appreciated one other thing I forgot that I took as an ioi is that she would leave her paying/tipping section to come talk to me also I payed attention to how she acted with other ppl in the bar I was the only one she was like that to

Did she bring you food to your table, and EVEN come back to ask you how it was?
Did she put a smiley face on the back of the bill?
Did she thank you for coming and tell you "see you again!"?

If so, chances are she's ready to pounce on your shaft....

They do work on tips you realize.

She waitress so she didn't bring me my food but she came over asked how it was she did thank me for coming and told me to come back again. Also keep in mind she left her paying/tipping customers to come over and talk to me fully aware that she personally is not gonna make any money off me because she was on the floor I was at the bar. And for what its worth she had the biggest sweetest smile when she saw me come back in

You've never heard of tip outs have you. At the end of the nights tips are pooled together and shared with all staff, albiet in different proportions so its in their interest to be nice to all paying customers.
