are there any plusses/minuses to texting or messenging vs talking to or calling a target. any differences in strategy?

I guess the best things about texting are that you can take your time and word things carefully, and you can text her while you're with your friends aswell so you don't need to be somewhere private. Oh yeah and you can ask them what to say aswell if you're stuck, lol. If you're not so good on the phone, there are no awkward silences to worry about either so overall texting is pretty good.

However, your personality comes across far better when talking on the phone and with texts it's easy to misunderstand certain things so she could take something innocent the wrong way. Also, she might get caught up doing something and forget to text you back, which leaves you in an awkward situation cos you don't know what she's doing and if you text her again before she replies it may come across as needy unless it's really important. This doesn't happen a lot though.

make sure you dont say anything in a text that you arent willing to say in person, not just on the phone. because u need to remain congruent when you interact with HBX because she WILL pick up on the fact that you are nervous. dont say that u will do anything that u arent willing to do, ie a kiss. but yea texting is great u can remind her tht u exist and she is more likely to think of you. but be flirty with it. there are some good threads about texting going on right now in the PUA section.

Just think about it this way.

Texting - She can be texting multiple people (maybe other guys), all the time in the world
Actual Call - You & Her, direct answers

The only downside I can think of is try not to get those "akward silences."lol

That is a good point, I know from my experience that I do get into multiple text convos with different women. Texting is a good way to get to know someone but it can only take you so far I believe. The one on one interaction will be more personal.
