This is kind of the problem. If you're asking for help before you: go to a party, go on a date, go out sarging, you are not leading. You are asking someone else to make you feel secure and confident, instead of taking charge.

Don't get me wrong: I think there are great words of wisdom here, but from the get-go if you frame yourself with "Help me!" You show that you're dependent on outcome. You're trying to achieve a goal and you're letting your frame be defined by that goal, instead of just being content in yourself.
