Honestly bro, it's not hard to talk to everyone. Yes, it is a movie... But just be a talkative guy. Remove the filter from your mouth and say whatever the fuck comes to your mind. Don't care about what other people think. Stop taking life so seriously and just have fun with people. Get yourself into a talkative state. Then when you get later in the night, the flood gates open up.

Social momentum is super important if you want to get good at pick up. It is practically impossible to not only pull a girl at 10 pm when she just got to the bar... But also for a guy to not have a single interaction with anyone all day and all night then be able to put himself into a true talkative state during his first interaction.
