Approached a girl on the weekend.
Instant date at coffee shop.
Get her number.

Texted her the next day:
Hey Sparkles. It's that cute guy you had coffee with yesterday. Save my number.

Her response:
Sorry mate, this isn't sparkles

Background: She had glitter on her hands when we met and we joked about her being a vampire, but that text message was the first time I gave her that nickname 'sparkles'. It's definitely her number.

What should I do?

Either she gave a fake number of some bloke . . . to blow you off.

Or say something like: "Ah, I see - I was sure I was texting this cute-looking vampire girl I met yesterday."

qualifies her, but hey, better than nothing. If she keeps insisting it's not you, say: "Yeah, I was afraid first I texted dr. Jekyl and Hide or Morgana le Fay by accident since you're right next to them in the list, but I checked."

I think she probably just forgot about the glitter oil thing and isn't making the connection, just refresh her memory.

I'd delete number and NEXT... Sounds like the wrong number, or she's more trouble than she's worth.

Thanks Zealot. I wish I thought of that, but Ill keep it in mind for next time.

Too much time has passed since the text was sent so this ones dead in the water.
