Why do PUA videos always have a condescending tone? As if they're trying to prove they're so "superior" to others?

Are people who become PUAs essentially like boys in school, who think they're "rated" because they pick up girls?

Somebody will say "get with it, dude. life's a competition". Maybe. But if PUAs teach, essentially, social skills well good social skills is not to be condescending is it not? I personally hold a strong sense of confidence and an indomitable spirit, so I don't take kindly to people who are condescending lol..
