Hey guys,

First time checkin' out the world of PUA, and to be honest, I'm not quite sure how I will find it.

I just know it is going to be enlightening. I'm 20 years old for the record.

So some background. I've always been quite "deep" and a "overthinker" , and I've always been a little insecure.

That is until recently, when I began exercising, started martial arts, and generally started getting my head right. The only thing still lacking from my life is woman, and sex. I think the confidence and security that comes from being able to frequently get both will put me in a good stead mentally, and have a great knock on effect in my life.

I've always "valued" woman too much. I've only recently gained the confidence to ask girls out, so I'm still quite inexperienced, but I realise now that I come on too strong, and too deeply. I don't keep it light hearted enough. I "love" too much, too early. I used to set myself up in a "friendzone" by hiding my feelings, or being too afraid of judgement for going for certain girls. Like I said, I was quite insecure.

I need to learn to calm it down, be confident, and be able to get what I want without getting emotionally invested. My previous opinion of PUA for the record has been that it is somewhat off putting, but now after some negative experiences of being "myself", "honest and emotionally open", I realise that there are probably quite a few truths in it that I can apply to my own life.

So where do I start?

Use your intense passion and channel it into something which doesn't involve women like your career, music or art. Put those things on a pedestal instead of women. Women will like your drive and ambition.

I posted the post that was meant to be here in the General area like you suggested.

I've already channeled a fair amount of effort into the music and instruments I love, as well as the degree I'm studying. It's just I feel that I need to push myself socially as well, and especially with women.

I'm obviously a bit of a late bloomer, and a bit of a romantic at heart, so I need to figure out how to make some real gains, in the real world.

Good, man. Just remember to take it slow. Don't do one of these extremes: sit in your room and read everything for 6 months and not go out or read the game put on a little feathered hat and go out every night for a week and then cry when women don't kiss your ass.

It seems you are centered and have life balance. post767767.html#p767767 will help you out a lot. Go out a few times a week and read occasionally but don't neglect life. I'm a big fan of RSD and 60yearsofchallenge.
