What are open loops? or multiple threads? How are they used and how do they apply to DHV?

Threading a conversation involves finding multiple topics of conversation within a single statement.

You would ask something like "What do you do for fun during the winter when its cold?" or whatever

She might say something like "I went skiing in Denver last year"

That gives you two open topics to talk about... Skiing and Denver. (conversation hooks)

Then you would start talking about Skiing for example.... Leaving the topic of Denver open.

Tell her a funny story about skiing... Look for more conversation hooks in whatever she says in response. If there's nothing... You can bring up something about Denver. Look for more hooks in there.

It really is about being a Bull Shit artist. If you are having trouble talking about random shit... Watch Curb Your Enthusiasm and pay attention to the way Larry David talks. The guy can fuckin talk about ANYTHING. It's an incredible skill to have. I sold cars for a long time and it kind of came natural to me after a while... Not telling you to be a car salesman but working in a social environment definitely helps. It comes with practice.

Obviously this is an extreme example, but do you see how stories can leave natural questions in them?
If the girl asks one of them, she is interested IOI. Multiple thrads is where you leave one story half finished, so you can return to it later or get them to ask about it. "then the best thing of the night happend" what did?
