So quick question peeps. Was this girl interested at all ?

Long story short. Decided to finally approach this girl who attends my college. I have had a thing for her for quite sometime. Yesterday at the computer lab I noticed her chatting it up with another guy to her right. She seemed pretty engaged in the conversation. Anyhow i saw an opening to sit next to her and so i did.

Me : Hey, is anybody sitting here ?
Her: (Interrupts her conversation turns her attention to me) No not at all. You are.
(I completely froze. Did not know what else to say) So i starred at my computer screen. She continued on the conversation with the other guy and i stalled for the next 2 minutes. I overheard her saying that she had to go home and eat. As i saw the other guy leave and her starting to get up from her seat i started to panic. I was running out of time.

Me: (still starring at my computer monitor) noticed her about to pick up her rain boots from the ground and said. Hey nice boots !

Her : Thank you. Yeah, Im going to need them in this weather. (I noticed her looking back at me but it was too late i had already turned my head towards the computer screen). Alright, well have fun ! Bye !

Me: Bye !

Sounds like she already knows you like her. Can't really tell but seems like she's showing a bit of interest too. You should make your move.

Mistake #1 - Asking her permission to sit next to her. This means you believe she is out of your league. Go in with the mindset that she is below you.

Mistake #2 - Stalling for 2 minutes. There is a small window of opportunity women will give you when they are interested. You didn't grab the opportunity.

Mistake #3 - Panicking when she left and desperately trying to impress her with a compliment.

Definitely the time constraint caught me off guard. Was not expecting her to leave so soon.
