Hey guys. I'm an undergrad business major and for my entrepreneurship class we have to create a startup business all semester long in an industry we think could be disrupted. I chose the dating industry, because I think dating sites aren't really for the masses and could be improved. But I haven't chosen what business idea yet and I'm leaning towards one that helps men meet and attract women, not vice versa.

I need to do a paper on a problem hypothesis (basically an issue someone has) and then a solution (the business idea that people pay for to solve the problem). I was thinking about possibly creating a website where I would hire VERY attractive women who wanted to earn some cash on the side to "wing" paying customers. Basically I would be targeting guys with really bad AA who could use help with opening, which the woman would do. I know this idea has been done before and my biggest issue is I wouldn't know how to hire/manage these girls who aren't in my geographical location.

I want to build a website/service that adds value for PUAs, not just another ebook in an industry full of many ebooks. Could you answer some of my questions below and possibly add any input?

Your business plan sounds like Risky Business with out the sex. It was the first thought that came to my mind.

I think instead of basing this on face to face interactions you look more at the online dating world. I think most guys with anti-social disorder find it easier to meet women online then in person also after collage it is hard to meet quality women in bars or clubs and for the man who travels 75% of travel online dating is the only way to go. You can even set-up dates as you travel to different cities.

What i think would be a great business idea and model is to have witty smart people be available through an instant chat services that helps men say the right thing to women via email and text message. This could be on a per question services or a general monthly fee. Basically how it would work is, you find a girl on a dating site, you contact this service for email by a contact us services and a person will create a witty opener to grab the females attention. This would have to be a 24 hour services and could be a copy and paste approach for the client.

If a man is using a I'm service and/or texting you could set up a texting service 9.95 a month and/or an instant chat service 9.95 a month for unlimited. This way guys who struggle talking to girls or thinking of clever things to say can use the service. I believe you could do research on this site and filter how many questions are related to how should i respond to this text. In the general question fourm this is a question i have personally asked and have responded to. I would pay for the service it was .50 cent per text or some low figure. The bases on being profitable is advertising on sites like this using internet clicks and posting ads. The fee's are small and at $1.00 cents a answer the majority of men would use this service. If you were receiving a 1000 text a day. that's roughly 30,000 a month. However you may have to revise the service to membership and limit amount of text per month to keep over head small and profit margins up.

I come to PAU fourms to get better at texting, I'm money in person, i just dont have the time to go to clubs and bars plus my liver is against it.

That's an interesting idea. So basically guys would pay for witty openers or responses using this service? It could even be more valuable when members can submit the last few lines of their conversation to let the "expert" in on more of the situation.

Your response made me think of a similar service as well. For guys who travel and are busy who practically outsource everything in their life, what about outsourcing opening as well? What I mean by that is a guy would give his username/password of the dating sites he belongs to and maybe even his Facebook. Then describe his ideal woman and where her location would be. Then someone from the service will contact women of his taste and have the initial short conversation. Maybe even be able to get a phone number out of it. Then the guy receives an e-mail with the successful response's profile link, conversation transcript and girl's phone number.

My idea was basically as you described, guys who get stuck with not knowing what to say in a text and then sending over the convo to a person who then creates responses for him or gives him a series of choices.

I think, your idea is another service that could be offered. Investment bankers, hedge fund managers, hell pilots. Guys who make a lot of money who work a shit ton of hours that travel frequently and have disposable incomes. This would allow even dates to be set up in the cities they are traveling to. Submit the convo to the guy so he can go over it and then bam meet the girl for a date at the designated time. I think if they took a personality test to see there traits taste in women is a great idea as well. This would allow them to be parred with a guy with similar personality traits and with women that they were interested in. You could say we will attempt to set up a date on this date with the following females and send a list to him and have him rank them in order.

The reality is, PUA is a great business for the simple reason that people will always want to date and have sex. ALWAYS. Its like food. It will always be in demand.

As people age and get into committed relationships they leave the community. But it doesn't matter because every year more people enter the dating world for the very first time. Get dumped for the very first time. Ask a girl out for the very first time. Have sex for the very first time, etc.

In other words, there are always new "customers" who enter the world of PUA clueless and seeking advice.
