Hello! Lion Here.

I could use some help in this situation I am right now.
I am still a student. Final year in high school.
And if you had not already guessed... there is a girl.

We've known each other for quite some time.
She's part of my outer social circle.

First of all from what I have realized she is not the kind of girl that likes to be teased but rather the girl that wants you to connect emotionally with her. Not that tease here and there would hurt, but they are definitely not your ticket to getting her.

I approached her group of girl friends a couple of couple of times (in other words around 4 times) over the last month.
The group likes me from what I can tell. I talk to them, joke with them etc... Connected a bit more deeply with a couple of them.
I conveyed confidence, mild interest, calmness. With my body language, eye contact and tonality when I talked to them etc...
She seems to like me and greets me every morning, or when we chance upon another in school's corridors.

The first times I was not trying to show much interest.
The last I did a bit more and I paid her a mild compliment. ( Not the usual "you are beautiful")
Something situational. To be percise she asked something about her hair and I told her how I like it, because it has its own unique style it's not common. Sadly she seemed a bit aloof in that conversation. At least at the beggining. And then we she told me she is interest in attending a theatre school college... I kind got lost in my enthusiasm because me and soem firends are planning to shoot a movie this summer.
I think I kind of seemed needy as I lost my words for a second...
I asked her if she would like to join my team this summer. She said that she would think about it. And I said "Okay, do think about it!" And I touched her arm... but it felt a little forced and socially awkward when I did so. I fear it made me seem needy.

Then I added "But don't turn us down. Yeah you have a choice. But you don't have a choice!" In a jesting manner. And she laughed a bit.

I think I was in a good point with this girl but now I have two questions.

1
If indeed I am, I would like to know how to escalate further. How to ask her group if we can hang out in one of our weekends.
Funny thing... (hanging out in weekends and bitching about weekend exams is one of the topic they like talking about)
I want to do this and yet sound casual. I fear that it will sound socially awkward if I try to do so.

2
Did my latest interaction make me feel needy? If yes is it too serious of a problem? If yes again, can I patch it up and how?

if you question it, its done before it even starts

just decide that your gonna be the boss and stand up for yourself in this situation

u like her? tell her.. don't get punked out by a girl.. just tell her u like her

thats how u escalate.. if your ballsy enough to do it, then DO IT

just know it absolutely will not work if you can't commit to it..
