Alright, I hate to be the guy that makes a bunch of posts about one fully-bitch-shield protected girl that he will never score with. So I want to clarify that this is a broad topic that has happened and if it hasn't is likely to happen to you. It also questions material found in the 'Bible of Seduction' The Layguide.

I dated this girl a couple times last year, I stopped escalation because I actually had a girlfriend myself at the time (I was an AFC afraid to let go for other opportunities and I feel cheating is unethical). So, to make a long story short, we already have rapport. Now, months later, I'm single and spending my time gaming. I saw her while I was out today and gave her a hug. We start talking and I casually mention "We should do something this week" then she says "I don't think I can I'm going out" quietly, almost inaudibly. Then she kind of goes *cough cough* I have a boyfriend *cough* *cough*. Then I go "What did you just say?" And she repeated herself, and goes "Yeah, yeah I'll see you sometime" and we part ways.

The Layguide recommends that I don't even mention the boyfriend, blow the relationship out of proportion to make it seem insignificant and embarrassing with sarcastic exaggerations, and plant ideas in her head to make it seem as though he's cheating on her.

So one of my questions in developing a strategy is context. Do you think those recommendations don't apply because they are for girls who have put themselves out on the pick up scene (ie bars and clubs) almost asking for an opportunity to cheat? It also seems as though she's telling me about him just because she feels obligated to her 'borefriend' and her anti-slut defense keeps her from escalating with me. This is common with Mexican girls (she's Mexican) because word seems to travel fast in Mexican communities as gossip is one of their favorite pastimes-at least from my experience. What would you guys do? Have I already lost the battle?
