Guys please give me some solid openers for lectures in college. Imagine you're sitting beside a girl and lecture starts in 5 minutes. What's are some openers I can use? I don't want to just turn my head and introduce myself as it will seem out of place and random. I need a solid opener to use and I will introduce myself later. Please write SPECIFIC openers. No general or lame or cliche stuff please. I've been in this situation many times and was not able to say anything as I could not think of any opener. Thank you.

I would say a situational opener would be best. Here are a few openers and once you open them go with the flow and lead the conversation.

1. Thats an artsy shirt you have there! What are you majoring in?
2. (It sounds like you are a first year..) University is so much cooler than highschool, are you from around here?

You can say virtually anything as long as its genuine and confident. Hell if shes cute tell her that.

Turn your face to her and say :" You seem one of the popular kids.. Kind of weird we haven't met yet! Hey,

I'm x".. It's really simple! Just a smile and say Hi should be enough really! In class, there is no bitch shields

or anything! And it's something expected to happen.

I don't think it would be random and out of place. I think it's gotta be well timed, but I mean, I've come to an open seat beside an HB8 or so, and I've asked with a smile, "Do you mind if I sit here?" If she's nice, she'll say no not at all, and return the smile. If I get the smile, I usually say, awesome thanks. My name is Jonneh by the way." again, if she's nice, she'll take the hint and give you her name. From there you can go right into any material, in my opinion. This is where I haven't been successful. I just don't know the material backwards enough to be confident enough with it...
