I went on a date with a girl, POF date. Sorry if this post gets long..its all steps..I believe this is recoverable...she says she likes me but..

I'm new to any PUA, not done any, reading and learning.

first hours went fantastic, connection, smiles, touching me.

Mistake 1;
We went to a second place and I hadn't eaten all day, worked out and the drink hit me a bit, I tried to kiss her in totally the wrong place! She was not that phased tho... smiled and went and got us more drinks.

Mistake 2;
Then she kept looking at my lips etc, and started to tell me a very very deep story, about family..the mood was so low after I made a stupid joke about it to bring the mood up...why?! and altho it was hilarious..iT REALLLY UPSET HER...she said she almost walked away but stayed.. and wanted to talk about what happened and why?

mistake 3..
some drunk came over and trying alpha..I wasnt happy anyway and nearly walked myself as I felt I messed it up..I was a bit of a dick to him as he started calling me names..I turned to him and engaged him with convo but shot him down which she thought was not nice and made me look like a dick...and she stuck up for him..oops..but she said she didnt care as she could see why I shot him down in convo .


...I walk home..o well..that's over,....move on..

then I get a text

"Hiya,in the interest of keeping to my honesty policy,i'd say i thought u were a good guy,and we had lots in common,but then felt a bit awkward with some things that were said etc!not sure what to do really.."

then I get a call straight after to talk through what happened...
mistake 1..she said..its fine but cant I read body language? she was just shocked at the timing , but would of liked a kiss later.
mistake 2...she wanted to talk through and why I said such a horrid joke
mistake 3..she discussed but dismissed.

She also said..it was a perfect date up until then and would of been so perfect if we had left before the second place.
she said she fancied me and was gutted and didnt know what to do...
she then went through it all again and said she didnt know what to do
I of course was very sorry for what I said..I really am, wasnt a nice joke.
She then said.."maybe we should meet up more friendly and go shopping or something....."

I said , sleep on it, I'm tired, ill call her the next day and she said.."txt me"

next Day:

I txt her late afternoon to say.."I'm sorry about the joke..was nice to meet you and chat, ..talk later"
I leave it..didnt expect a reply anyway..then about midnight I txt "heya. im just heading to bed..fancy a call in a bit?" (we both like to stay up late, last I called was similar time 1am? and texting to make sure she was up,)

Then I leave it 10 and text "I'm heading to town tomorrow anyway for an appointment to get contacts, thought might be a bit of an adventure to put things aside us, and do a bit of shopping as friends while I'm there, I have a few bits to get and splash out on, be great to see you, let me know and I'll see you there! "

she text "I'm in town....."
I sleep..now its today...I leave it all and have not contacted her..I saw her online but said nothing..so I know she is home..I thought about calling and seeing if shes up for something tomorrow but decided no..maybe ill ring her tomorrow or Sunday instead..but then is that leaving it too long as if I'm playing a game?

Any suggestions?
I can ignore and move on, but we did connect and went really well, id like to see her again, even if it was just friends...

I'd say maybe give it a day without contacting her, and then call her and act like nothing happened, set up another time to meet up. Here's what I've been told about dating:
reading body language is all about what she does: did she HAVE to do that? if she is doing something unusual that is flirty, take advantage of it. If she's looking at her lips, set up a kiss right then and there.

Never really encountered a situation like yours in the case of having to battle another man on the spot in front of the girl, but here's what I read:
-Don't be a dick to him
-Include him in the convo a little bit to show that he doesn't phase you
-control the vibe and be confident, talk to the girl alot and try to smoothly change whatever subject he brings up to make him feel like he has no control of the conversation

This is all my personal advice, I'm sure there are other fellow members on here that can help you and maybe give you some better advice. hope this helped though and good luck!

I think he's right when he says she's still interested because she did text you after the situation so nothing is really ruined, she sounds like a forgiving person. My advice is to just wait a bit and ask her if she wants to go to your place (since it's snowing) or maybe go to a lounge and chill there. Don't apologize too much it will just make you look desperate. Hope this helped a bit.

Thanx..I pretty much had to say sorry all that night and the next day 1 text . but that's all..I cant go back to it..ill try and not ever have it mentioned.


I am still debating calling her, but the general theme is to leave things...
but I do think she would pick up if I called and speak her mind while I'm still fresh...else she may just find some interesting guys on pof and forget or not care...
..I was like the first guy she met on pof and ont he 2nd day she joined.

so that's an invite...when I called earlier I asked her about monday...I'm temped to text back saying "sure come over tomorrow and we can watch a film"

For the movie i suggest something that makes the emotions go wild while watching. Some love comedy or something like that. And for text game, the main rule i go by is: INTRIGUE. I always text something that makes her wonder all day long for example: "Something just reminded me of you, funny story, can't wait to tell you" or "You won't believe what just happened", she will be so obssesed about the story, she'll think about you the whole day, and she will surely demand you to tell her over text's, refuse and just say that you will tell her the story when you see each other. One girl even told me that she loves how i keep her always wondering, she said that she thinks about me the whole day becouse of it.
