So I've been texting this one girl on for the past couple of days. I created great rapport with her in person -which ended with her giving me her number and I discussing with her a time we could meet in person (in that order). She didn't know a good day off the top of her head so instead I've been trying to smoothly bring about the topic of going on a date. However, she doesn't seem to be biting the bait. I did sporadically 3X. In the last one, she quickly responded with a laugh, an actual response, but not to the date bait in my text. After that I told myself "screw it" -it was time to 'punish' her by not responding. She then texted me back a few hours later with pictures of her in her Belly Dancing costume with a comment that said "since you can't come out tonight, you get a sneak peak " I loved it. BUT, I thought it woud be clever to throw out this bit: "

Me: I admit, ur very palatable in this pic...but personality wins. I just want to talk to u and see what ur about. I don't quite know u yet, but I want to

Her: Whoa there, kido! Don't take the pic the wrong way, its not a flirty pic. I prefer to be above that. Very sorry. I'm not shy about my dance costumes usually, because I see them as my job clothes. You're right though, I should be more descrete. I usually am about non- work related things.

So my question is: What the fuck did I do wrong here?
