i'm a rafc. got some decent social skills now.

Never had a social circle so now i'm trying to build one. Made some new friends or at least got acquainted with new people.

My problem is though that these people i hang out with just flake out on me or just flat out ignore my texts. I was under the impression i make some good buds and we'd be like bros. But now i'm thinking should i just play a social game with guys too. use friends to my own ends and always concentrate on building a status or better friends.

I know this might sound ridiculous but in truth i see myself as a do gooder. i believed that if i'm honest and hardworking, society would take care of me in turn. I found though that is anything but. The more nice i am the more people try to fucking use me. My family, my wingman. It is really frustrating.

I really am starting to think i should get MEAN. not cruel but just take my emotions out of dealing with people. Climb to the top even if i have to step on a few heads.

Wondering do you guys out there trust your friends?

I'm the same way man. I'm too generous. Its a good quality but you've gotta recognize that people take advantage of it. They need to prove to you they deserve your generosity.

Always be sure you're self suffiecient and can rely on yourself. You can give people a chance, but make sure if they fail you your fall isn't big; so don't trust anyone, but occasionally you have to try. Essentially the idealistic concept of social animals is a failure, but when it works out, it's so beautiful.

I use negs/approval tactics with everyone. I am still quite generous but know when to stop. Recently one of my best mates has started taking the piss with me giving him stuff like beers and fags so I started negging him and he always reacts. Its hilarious.
