I was just wondering, would it be rude, or would I come off rude if lets say, a friend or a family member saw me holding a girls' hand walking through the mall....and they come up to you and ask who she is and i let go of the hand saying oh shes just a friend....do you think i lose pussy points in the girls' mind?

My theory, which almost never fails me, is: when you are caught with your hand in the honey jar, just keep eating honey while saying "Relax dude, it's cool."

If you let go the hand, means that the presence of someone you know made you act different, which means that a person who pays 5% attention will know that there is something more going on.

Basically, you don't change your behaviour. Why? for example, would you hold hands with the girl in the presence of her boyfriend if you to were doing something behing his back? (in boyfriends mind) Probably not. SO he will be thinking the same, ergo he will not kick you ass. (ok bad example but you get my point)
Same with everything else.

Just don't freak out, and act normal. The more obvious you are, less suspissious others will be.

But this is just my view on the subject.

If she has interest in you, she will probaby start asking herself why doesn't he keep holding my hand.
If not, you could lower your value in her eyes.

but it all depends what you do after you let go of her hand. Make a quick transition, like into an enthusiastic story where you have to use your hands to wave around lol.

Or worst case, basic "Checking the phone" would do.

Me personaly, i would keep holding hands. Then, if a friends/familly member asks me if we are dating and i dont want them to know, i'd go "Yeah, we are thinking of getting married next month" while hugging her and than saying "Lol no, we're just good friends" or something like that.
