Music gig date, bring girlfriends ?

I am planning on going to a jazz gig with a girl, i told her I'm going with some friends and that you should come, and you can bring some people if you want. She seems up for it, however I'm wondering in this situation should i bring female friends or male friends ? what could work best ?

Mixture of both. It shows that you are have a diverse group of friends and the girl friends you bring can always DHV you as the night goes on. IMO dhv's from a girl friend rather than your guy friends are stronger.

I'd say that the more girls you have show up the better. I mean, anyone can bring three AFC loser dudes to their gig. Even if a couple of them have girls that's not really making a statement about your social proof status. But if you have like 5 chicks show up cheering your name...BAM! Instant social proof.
