If you can, join a team sport that will immediately set you apart from geeks, nerds and dweebs who don't know how to dominate and work in a group. If you can lead your team, coach or just be a bad ass, then you are even better off. Leadership and alpha is all about having power over others. Real influence that you project calmly and assertively.

You can become a wrestler or fighter and perform so others can see you kick ass which could lead to respect. It's not about becoming Mohamed Ali or Anderson Silva. You just have to be a leader, then you will get the better women wherever you are at. They will feel / recognize your skills.

While in a group:

Be self reliant
Forge alliances and create new groups - throw parties etc
Fight / challenge the competitors / power structure / the system
Practice teasing people or setting people straight and/or talking shit to your friends and let others see you do it (within reason of course). People need to know that if they disrespect you, you have the power to lower their social standing.
Be truthful, honest and cool so that your friends don't stab you in the back. Avoid attracting hatred.

Repeat for life and you will be a leader and stay on top

Women want to be in that sort of tribal world. Team sports guys usually live this naturally. Don't end up like me having to figure this out after high school. Learn it young.
