Ok, so I started to text a girl after I got her number from OKC. Can anyone give any pointers on what I should do and not do anyways here is the conversation I had today

Me: Hope You are having a good day I know I am

Her: hi lol

Me: Have anything planned for today?

Her: Study lol u

Me: Sounds like fun lol Im just making some music trying to get the hang of Fl studio

Her: that sounds cool :/ im worried about my test on monday

Me: R u the type that just crams everything in one night hoping you learn everything because that is totally me

DId I come off as too needy or not interested enough I need some help with this.

at some points you had her on, then you lost her.

She gave you opportunities to DHV, and you didn't. You replied generic..."listening to music". You could have said somthing like " im relaxing listening to this awesome (insert). You should check it out".

and you jumped through her hoops. She made you supplicate to her. You came off needy trying to get her out. Remember, you're the prize. Make her ask you to do somthing.

Everything mmo73 said, I agree with. She seemed into you, but I personally think most girls want some sort of challenge. Here's an example of what I think: when she said that she draws, put your phone down, and take care of some things that you want to take care of; chorse, chilling, whatever. Hell, type out something you want to say before you do that, then about an hour later come back, and if you still want to say w/e is on your phone, send it. But the point is also that it gets her thinking. She just told you something slightly personal, or something that someone else can interepret as lame or cool. Then you come back after 30 min or so and say oh cool, what type of art are you into? Don't be afraid to disagree either, but also make sure that you don't belittle her/make her feel bad.

And don't be too detailed with text -keep it pithy. I would say for this chick, gently throw out that you hung out with some other girl. But don't make it obvious in what you're aiming at -which is raising your level. It's a subtle subtle art

thanks for advice and I always waited about the same time it took for her to text me which was about 30 minutes to an hour. What should I do now at this point. should I text her the next day or just wait a while?

You trying too hard. You look too interested, but you did say some funny stuff.
That "you can draw me" comment made laugh out loud.

Two tips:

1.) Shorten up your texts. Try to make them atleast the same length as hers or less.

2.) Here's a word of wisdom: patience. Never push someone to do something that they are not ready to do. It will only push them away.
Text her a few times, harmless but funny then escalate. Hangout a few times then escalate. THis way you're building her up for the next step. Never go in unless you think she wants i.e....girl at your house at 3am. Most of the time guys are always afraid of missing out on an opportunity and they want to rush, but if a girl likes you today chances are she will like you tommorrow.

I would ignore that 2 out of 10 comment.

Furthermore, some critique on the conversation:

The conversation at the start is more of an interview then a convo. Your questioning has a needy demeanor. You keep on asking somewhat yes-no questions to keep the conversation going. This links back to the remark of iwanteasylove, perhaps you feel like you would miss an opportunity. It got better along the way though. Ask a bit more open ended questions, be interested.

I suggest that you dare to make statements instead.
Bad: Hope You are having a good day
better would be: i am having a great day. how about you?

bad:I could come over one day and pose for you and you can draw me
better: one day, i ll come over and you draw me. I want a portrait (for example).

These are small nuances, but some of your texts sound very "approvement seeking".

So in short i would say: dont try hard to be interesting, instead, be interested. It goes a long way and you natural feeling for humor will find its way spontaneously.

This is pretty good advice, I would suggest a similar approach. Other than the "you could draw me" comment, there was no sexual context in your messages. Funny thing is she gave you the perfect chance to escalate and you completely missed it!

She opened the door but also threw out a distraction by asking you a question. You tried to qualify yourself by answering her question rather than seeing her real question which was "Are you man enough to talk dirty to me?"

What you should have said: "OMG, not nude! Naughty girl...LOL"

The type of answer you gave is the result of feeling the need to reply too quickly IMHO. I have a feeling you were throwing replies back as soon as you could type them, in hopes of keeping her interest up.
