I'm really bad at text and online game. Everything is fine in person, but my sarcasm and humor just don't translate well into textual words and I end up looking like a try-hard idiot. With that said, I'm newly single and on the prowl. I noticed this nerdy girl from high school is now hot as hell and I would like to see about getting with her. Here are a few problems I'm facing:

- The only way I can contact her is through Facebook. I don't have her number and she does not appear to be friends with anyone from high school, so there is zero mutual contact.

- She is never on that Facebook chat shit. Ever. I think she has it disabled.

- I have not spoken to her in 5-6 years.

Is this basically more trouble than it's worth? I'd obviously have to send her an inbox message but I'm not sure how to really word it without it seeming random as hell. "Oh, hey, remember me from high school? We never really talked much but I'd like to extend a random invitation to talk."

I'm curious to see if anyone has succeeded with similar conditions.
