There's this HB at my college that I've seen a few times but only exchanged a few words with. We have a few mutual friends but really don't know each other.

What's the best way to approach this situation without going into the LJBF zone? Like I said earlier, we know each other through a mutual friend and we've only spoken a few times briefly. I don't want to go into the LJBF zone, how do I approach the situation?
