"Hey, you're in my class and I don't think we've met. My name is blahblahblah." If you're afraid to, picture yourself in her shoes. If a girl came up to you and introduced herself to you, you would introduce yourself back and just talk. Just don't be a bitch. There's this girl in my lab class who's pretty hot--blue eyes, brunette, freckles, petite and into art. Didn't notice her until we started using lap equipment and I came in late so I ended up sitting with a table full of guys. FML, right? And to top it off that class is just once a week. I haven't seen her around campus yet. I'm thinking next week I'll try my best to show up early and grab a seat next to her and open with something witty. _________________ We are the universe experiencing itself.

I suggest you go up to her before or after class... and introduce yourself. Or maybe open her with a school related topic. You can even throw in some bait, 'bout her becoming your study buddy (not right away though). It's simple really.
Goodluck bro, and keep us updated.
