Well the night out is for a mates gig. It will be shit but I want to be supportive for a good mate.

Also changing my whole plans would make the "hey I'm going out no matter what" kind of irrelevant altho tbf I would prefer getting drunk at the pub with her

Well then just say you'll be hanging out with your friends and your friends are always fun to be around regardless who else happens to be out so it will be a good time. Then leave it up to her.
