How long should I wait to text back?

Hoping for some advice here,

Met a girl yesterday and texted her today. She texted back about six hours later. Ok so maybe not as quick as I would have liked but it was during the day so maybe she had stuff to do.

So how long should I wait? Was thinking a couple of hours and then 'since she asked how I was today' was going to go with something like

"yeah good, was first day back at school so busy. Just been out for a run with a girl I met at the park, was good to have someone to pace against. Got some work to do but need some help breaking the monotony of admin. how about we play a game, ill text you a word and you text me back with the first thing that pops in to your head'

"Doing great & feelin playful! Whats the first thing that pops into ur mind when you hear the word [word]"

Direct, fun, light and likely to get you a reply.
Yep thought my reply was too long, cheers for confirming this. Put the bit in about going for a run with a girl in the park for extra DHV, am guessing it's not needed really then?
