I'm 22, the girl is 19. This girl is very very attractive and just got of a year-long relationship with an older guy (24 or 25)

We have mutual friends, and her friend was kind of trying to hook us up. So I send a FR on facebook. The next day I send the following message:
Quote:
I apologize for the random/maybe a little creepy friend request. I'm pretty sure Kayli or Jay made me do it after the roof last night (it didn't sound weird at the time) haha. Anyways, I'm Gadsen (Jay's roommate) and I promise I'm not quite as creepy as the average random Facebook stalker who send friend requests at 230 in the morning [:)] haha
She replies:
Quote:
Haha good to know! [:)] I'm sure we'll meet sometime soon since I've been hanging out with Bayli again. So no worries at all!
I don't respond, but we meet a few days later at a bar (she has a fake ID). We hit it off immediately. She tells our mutual friend that I'm really cute and seem nice and to not let anyone hit on her besides me that night. I'm dancing with other girls, having a great time, just trying to DHV.

She's alittle bit shy, btw. She's sitting at the table across, and there is a seat next to me so I call her while I sit in place. I tell her I want to take her on a 2 minute date. Here are the stipulations: I start the timer, we can say/ask whatever we want, but as soon as the timer goes off she has to go back to her table. Worked great. As soon as the timer went off, I stopped her from talking and jokingly pushed her back to her tables direction. We were all about to leave, she came and gave me a hug, and I told her that I think I might want to take her on something longer than a two minute date and to put her number in my phone. She obliged, and our group of friends actually ended up going to whataburger all together.

I call her 2 or 3 days later. She's at work and doesn't answer, but she texts me immediately. I respond:
Quote:
Well here's what I was calling for..I'm thinking about robbing a bank, changing my name, and skipping town sometime this week. You in? Ok, not really. But I do want to take you to Main Event and/or the Daiquri Bar this week. What do you say?"
She acts like she is more than interested but says we she has to wait to figure out her schedule. She texts me a day or two later telling me Kayli wants to go out on Thursday and that we should all go out together (me, Jay, kayli, and HB). I can tell HB is uneasy about going out on a date one on one, but due to Jay not wanting to go out with Kayli I have to continue to push for a one on one date.

I say: "How about you and I go out early and we can meet up afterwards." She agrees.

Two days later (they day we planned our date), I call her around 2 pm. She doesn't answer. I don't think twice about it and I go ahead and make other plans with friends. I text her later that night:

"You're lucky our plans fell through, I really didn't want to have to embarrass you with my pro putt putt skills"

She texts me back a few hours later: I'm really sorry Matt. I'm just not myself lately. I'm sorry for not returning your phone call and texting you back so late

Me: No problem, don't worry about it. Coming from personal experience, when I'm down there's not a lot that makes me feel more like myself than a few daiquiris so the offer is still open. (I'm trying really hard I know, but you were way too cute eating that whataburger last week. I'm going to kick myself in the ass if I don't try my best to get you to join me for one."

Her: Haha well you're sweet! I don't mean to unload all of my drama on you but I just broke up with my boyfriend like two weeks ago, and it's still hard. I'm trying my best to get over it but it's just really hard!

My final response: No your fine, I more than understand so don't feel bad. Well take your time, and if you do ever feel like going to get a drink then let me know and I'll see what I can do!

Her final response: Thanks for understanding! And I'll be sure to! :)

I haven't talked to her since, but she has liked one of my facebook posts (I know that doesn't mean much, but it means shes not totally trying to avoid me).

What did I do wrong? What can I improve on? Where should I go from here?

Honestly, if the girl just got out of a relationship, especially if it was a long one, she may not be ready to get intimate with another man just yet. My suggestion is to move on know there's plenty of fish in the sea. Keep your options open and meet more girls.

If that answer is completely unacceptable, you could always try a cold approach after a cool down period. You don't want to come off as needy, so the wait period here is very important.

After a week or so, send her a text. Something along the lines of, "Hey, I was thinking about you. I hope all is well," should suffice. If she responds, you're golden. The opener is taken care of and you're right back in the game.

Keep the text conversation simple and to the point. Push for a date. Rather than asking her what days she is available, which gives her control, give her a few nights that you're free and let her pick the day.

She implied that the next time you hang out would be in a group, because your previous encounter was also in a group. This was noted in her reply that stated, "hanging out with Bayli again." You need to push for a solo date. Tell her she intrigued you, you want to get to know her better, and groups can be distracting.

One thing you need to remember is that she did text you back after missing the date, so she is interested. The reason she missed the date is most likely she felt uncomfortable going on a date with a recent breakup. She did not miss the date because of you. I'll repeat that, SHE DID NOT MISS THE DATE BECAUSE OF YOU. It was most likely an inconvenience, so the best thing you can do is simplify the date. Once the date has been scheduled, send her a text a few hours before making sure she is still planning on it. Also, it won't hurt to tell her to dress as cute as she did last time you saw her.

Don't forget, it's your job to make her feel comfortable around you. That is what she misses from her past relationship, so you need to practice the art of the deep dive.

Chase Amante has a great article regarding this: They won't let me post links because I'm new to the forum, but his website is girlschase . com and there's a link on the right side regarding the deep dive.

If you can build connections with her quickly, she'll feel more comfortable with you and be more willing to move forward.
